Strike 2 and I am Out!

So I love to cook and bake. I would have to say I am usually fairly okay at both, but here lately I have been struggling (with one thing inperticular). So I follow this blog called Bakerella and she is just so stinking creative. On her site she is always making these cute things called cake pops. They are basically little cakes on a popsicle stick and they are CUTE! She also makes it look and sound easy, so I thought I can do that well I found out very quickly they are not so easy after all.

My first attempt was on Mia's 1st Birthday I was going to make the classic shaped ones that look like little cupcakes well to make a long story short I ended up making just round shaped balls that were have falling off the stick but I did get them wrapped and in the centerpieces. I little success but I thought I could do better so.....

For my second attempt I thought little pumpkins would be adorable, I mean they are in the shape of just little round balls so I thought to myself no problem I got this. Well..............

8 Hours later this is what I got....

This was the 3rd Batch of chocolate that I used

(Burned the first 2 trying to watch the baby and bake ya I know what was I thinking trying to do this with a 1yr. old and a 3yr. old)

This was the final product after a whole day of trying to do these things (Note they are not even on the sticks)

So I think it is safe to say I have been defeated by the cake pops and I will just leave it to Bakerella and all the professionals out there to make these cute little tasty treats!

Nothing much going on

I haven't posted in forever, and really have been waiting to get some good pics of some of the stuff I have been working on before I post. I did however go get my moms camera this weekend so I will get a post up soon! I promise

Sewing...sewing...sewing

Well the title of this post pretty much gives my whole day away! I have been at my sewing machine most of the day today. I really want to show the outfit for syd that I got done today but I think I will just wait till I get both girls outfits done and get a pic of both of them together. However if you are on my facebook you got a sneek peek! (Sorry just couldn't wait)!
Other then a quick run to the grocery store with the whole family at 8:00AM (and yes what was I thinking) ahahah... I really don't have much else to share. Hope all had a good day, pictures to come soon of the girls in their new outfits, now I must get back to work!!

Snotty Noses and Spooky Halloween Trees

So today I pretty much just stayed at home. Both girls had a runny nose, I think Mia is cutting a tooth which would explain her fussiness. We kept Syd home from school today so she was pretty bummed. I however did get some projects done. I found my inspiration picture on marthastewart.com of a cute Halloween tree with paper ornaments, mine turned out pretty good I made some matching placemats as well. Sydne calls it her SPOOKY Halloween tree she says it so cute. Sorry about the picture quality I have to take them on my phone since my camera is still broke, and I did get a quick pic of the girls playing in there matching Elmo slippers! I finally started my own blog. I have been thinking about it for a long time but I was just always afraid that no one would read it or I wondered if my life was even interesting enough to blog about, and then I thought to myself who cares. If no one every reads it that would be fine I would have a great place to diary my crazy life raising two small girls, working midnights, never getting enough sleep, and always loving every minute of it. It is not to hard so far but we will see how long it takes me to figure all this out.
